Obviously it’s brilliant at your basic email checking/running office apps/browsing web or watching youtube but can it run a DAW? Yes actually and for what’s on offer it actually does a fine job. I tested it out with Cubase and most tasks ran pretty smoothly. The more power hungry VI’s out there may give a system like this a little bit of a hard time but this machine will handle a lot of what most novices and newcomers require of it. I imagine a lot of those expensive power hungry plugins aren’t going to be available at first to most newcomers (seeing as the computer is only one part of the puzzle i think it’s reasonable to say their money is better spent elsewhere rather on more plugins). To be fair it ran better than I was expecting it to and it makes me wonder how well it would perform in other studio responsibilities…did someone say a small plugin server?

GEEKOM’s latest mini PC was developed in direct response to the growing popularity of modular PCs, which empower users to customize and expand the memory, storage and other elements to their exact needs. The Mini IT8 is ideal for heavy PC users, office workers and families alike with its lightweight and sturdy aluminum frame, powerful CPU, flexible storage configuration options, and comprehensive interface settings.

For its size and price, I am blown away by some of the features that this little rascal gives its users. Firstly, the fact that it can run Windows 11 is pretty cool. My $1000 gaming PC can’t even do that! The whole user experience is so easy because of it and extremely enjoyable. The other feature that I was in love with is just how great the fan regulates the PC’s temperature. It never got as warm as my gaming rig does. I even kept it under a desk and it still never really got more than a bit warm to the touch. Now that’s amazing!

Overall, the GEEKOM MiniAir 11 is a budget-friendly PC with daily solutions for home media, small and medium business applications, kiosks, collaboration and streaming, digital signage, and more. Streamline daily tasks like web browsing, spreadsheet editing, streaming, and light gaming with this tiny PC. Create, learn, and excel; stay connected with friends and family around the world. Experience dependable, secure performance for the modern workplace; connect and collaborate from any location. What a fantastic PC to have!

A super affordable mini PC, the Geekom MiniAir 11 gets the job done with just the right amount of horsepower. It won’t win any races, but for light tasks such as web browsing, social media, video watching, and document editing, it’s a great option. It also features user-upgradeable RAM and storage.

If you’re looking for a compact system to deal with basic home or business computing tasks, this machine is an easy recommendation. The lack of another internal storage interface can be a deal-breaker for some, but with great build quality, plenty of I/O, licensed Windows 11 Pro, and a sensible price tag, the GEEKOM MiniAir 11 is still one of the best bang-for-the-buck mini PCs out there.
